Why desex your pet?
Females: Reduces the risk of mammary tumours, pyometra, ovarian cysts, and reproductive cancers. Prevents heat cycles and associated behavioural changes.
Males: Lowers the chance of prostate disease, testicular tumours, and perineal hernias. Reduces roaming, urine marking, and aggression.
What’s involved in the procedure?
Females: Ovariohysterectomy (removal of ovaries and uterus via a small abdominal incision).
Males: Castration (removal of testicles through a small incision near the scrotum).
